The Tatum Ranch area is mostly filled with new homes. This area also is referred to as "Tatum Ridge" from the huge shopping facility of the same name, which is on the corner of Highway 101 and Tatum Rd. Nearby is a sea of fairly new homes priced mostly in the $400s and up, in developments like Tatum Highlands, Tatum Ridge and Tatum Ranch. Once a part of the “far north,” residents of these developments now enjoy an easy commute to Scottsdale via 101, and Phoenix via Highway 51.
